John D. Conandes is a fiction writer and writing and rhetoric professor, and the author of The Dust That Remains, a YA novel.
A writer across speculative and young adult genres, Conandes’ first work (The Dust That Remains) includes elements of young adult (YA) and literary fiction. He is currently writing The Slip, a speculative and futuristic novel that combines elements of the absurd, satire, and drama.
The Dust That Remains is written in vignettes and has been crafted to support the teaching of English language arts at the secondary and college levels. A fictional work that combines imagination with the author’s early life experiences as a vintage worker in South America.
This young adult novel will offer readers a window through which they can witness the reality two young protagonists face in the lush town of Russell.
